Lake City's Population: 1867

Just as the City is built around the town square, life in Lake City is built around the people. With a great sense of community, young and old alike are involved in the many wonderful organizations and events that make Lake City the town that has "Everything but a Lake."

The Lake City Town Square provides a unique shopping experience from wood craftsmen and hand made pottery to unique gifts, quilting supplies, flowers, wedding/party supplies and furniture. Central School, built in 1884, along with the Carnegie Library, Community Building and several residences are on the National Register of Historic Places. There is something for everyone to spend a day on the square in Lake City!
